The RKT101 is now available in a full carbon fiber application. The RKT101 Carbon is constructed of the most technically advanced materials to create the lightest, strongest and most durable carbon fiber composite helmet on the market.

Everyone knows Joe Rocket as the #1 apparel brand in North America, but what do they know about helmets? Although many aspects of technical clothing design are similar to helmet design, there remain many aspects unique to helmets. To avoid the long learning curve, Rocket simply hired one of the industry's leading helmet designers away from the world's largest helmet manufacturer, immediately acquiring 15 years worth of helmet development experience.

... And all this experience and design went straight into every detail of the RKT101 series.

[A] SHELL STRUCTURE — 2 EXCEPTIONAL OPTIONS
RKT101 series is now available in two shell options, (1) an Advanced Composite Materials [ACM Weave] constructed of fiberglass/Spectra® or (2) a exceptionally lightweight [under 1450 grams] full application carbon fiber weave. Both shells meet or exceed SNELL M2005 & DOT standards and are specifically designed and wind tunnel tested to reduce turbulence and drag, increasing ventilation efficiency and offering an even quieter ride. Precise CAD designed, injection molded, multiple density impact absorbing EPS sculpture available in three shell sizes for a more comfortable fit.

[B] QUAD-PORT VENTILATION SYSTEM
The RKT101 series uses a 3rd generation, "ACS" Advanced Channeling Ventilation System with integrated Quad-Port flow through system. Raised air channels combined with 2 forward intake vents and dual exhaust rear spoiler create full front to back airflow flushing heat and humidity up and out of the helmet. Adjustable chin vent re-directs air upwards and across the shield interior keeping moisture out of the face shield area.

[C] 2-STAGE COMPRESSION SHIELD CLOSURE SYSTEM
RKT101 helmets use a 2nd generation, 2 stage compression shield closure system. A 2-stage pivot mechanism, compresses the shield into the eye port gasket, providing an extremely secure seal. Aero-dynamic flush mounted fit for reduced turbulence noise. Optically superior 3D design provides 95% UV protection and an anti-scratch coating. RapidFire™ shield replacement system. The RKT101 also offers quick, secure, tool-less shield removal and installation. Deluxe helmet storage bag included. Optional Mirrored - RST, high definition (amber), smoke, Pinlock™ and tear-off shields available.

[D] INTERIOR CONSTRUCTION
The RKT101 features the most advanced interior comfort padding on the market with its revolutionary heat and humidity dissipating system, a combination of moisture wicking AquaTrans® with Open Cell foam technologies and odor eliminating Bioceramic Nylex® coatings. Additional features include easily removable liner and cheek pad design for cleaning and drying. Streamline, wrap-around neck roll reduces wind noise with stylish TPR Joe Rocket logo application. Comfortable padded chin strap design and nylon strap retention snap neatly secures excess chin strap flap

*Carbon Fiber is lightweight, strong and durable, a true 21st century high technology material. Due to this material's excellent characteristics such as low specific gravity, exquisite mechanical properties, and high specific tensile strength, this material is used heavily in modern aeronautical construction and other high performance equipment.

Proper Fit of Joe Rocket Motorcycle Helmet
WarningNever buy a used helmet or borrow someone else's helmet. Over time the protective foam in helmets will adjust to the contours of a user's head. A used or borrowed helmet may not offer as much protection as a new helmet.

Warning Wearing the wrong size helmet can increase your risk of serious injury or death in an accident. A helmet that is too large for your head may be dislodged or knocked off in an accident. To select the right size helmet for your head, follow these instructions:

1. Measure your head. Wrap a tape measure around your head about one inch (2.5 cm) above your eyebrows.
2. Use the sizing chart to select the helmet size that corresponds most closely to your head measurement. If your head size falls between two helmet sizes, try on the larger helmet first and then the smaller size.
3. Try on the helmet by grasping both chin straps to pull the helmet completely onto your head, ensuring that the top of your head is in contact with the top of the helmet interior.
4. Check for a proper fit. To make sure your helmet is the right size, check that:
- The helmet inner lining fits snugly around your head.
- The top pad presses firmly on your head.
- The cheek pads contact your cheeks.
- There is no space around your brow under the inner lining. Test this by trying to insert your fingers. If the helmet does not fit snugly, try on a smaller size.
5. Check your field of vision when trying on a helmet. Some helmets may obstruct or block your vision when looking left, right, up, or down. WarningAlways make sure you can see well enough to safely operate your motorcycle.
Motorcycle Helmet Fit 16. Test the helmet fit by placing your hands on each side of the helmet. While holding your head as motionless as possible, try rotating your helmet from left to right then up and down. If you can feel the helmet padding sliding on your head, it is too big, try a size smaller. You should feel the helmet move the skin on your head and face as you try to move the helmet.
7. Fasten the retention system (chin strap) as tight as possible under your jaw without causing pain. There must be no slack in the strap, and the strap must be tight up against your jaw.
Motorcycle Helmet Fit 28. Test the retention system (chin strap)
- Put your hands on the back of the helmet and try to push the helmet off by rotating it forward.
- Put your hands on the front of the helmet above your forehead (or on the chin guard) and try to push the helmet off by
rotating backward.

WarningIf helmet comes off, try another size or another model or brand. Repeat steps 3 through 8 until you find a helmet that fits your head snugly and securely
